Animal Empathy: This is the power that she has the most control over and has studied since she was young. She is able to communicate with all animals, and feel what they feel.
Illusion: Another she studied when she was younger. She was often lonely and she'd use this gift to create people to keep her company that she could physically touch, but they were unable to communicate with her.

H I S T O R Y Estelle Sterling was the only child of Augustus and Lucinda Sterling, and she was the apple of their eye. They made sure she got the proper education every girl of her station needed, and that all her wishes were granted. However, Estelle had no interest in material goods, all she was interested in was exploring the world around her, often seen running in the gardens and climbing up trees. Despite her tom boyish tendencies she did enjoy more feminine pursuits like needlepoint, poetry, and playing the harp.
Once she reached the age of sixteen, her parents arranged a marriage between herself and Jaespehr Llewynfirth which although she didn't want, she agreed since she had known him since they were kids which was better than most girls. However, the day they all met to discuss the marriage, she met the man who would change her life. While she was in the garden, she sensed a baby bird nearby who had fallen from his nest. She gingerly picked up the bird, climbing up the tree to get the little bird back there. Once she got him back in the nest, she slipped on the branch, and began to fall. She closed her eyes preparing to hit the ground when she found herself landing on something warmer. When she opened them, she saw the face of Gideon, one of the servants in the Llewynfirth household.
At first, she didn't understand the fluttering feelings she would get when she would visit her fiancee's home. She assumed it was because her intended was handsome yet it only happened when Gideon's eyes would meet her own. After thinking on it, she realized she had feelings for him and they only got stronger as she grew to know him over the months. One day, she spilled her secret to him to find he felt the same. They managed to keep their love a secret until one night at a ball at the Llewynfirth estate. They met in the garden where they shared a passionate kiss.
Unfortunately for them, Count Llewynfirth caught them which angered the man to no end. He separated them, and after that is when things went wrong. The day after they were caught, Estelle fell ill with a fever which worried her parents. The fever raged for days, and once she awoke, she couldn't remember her feelings for Gideon and she had become physically weaker. Under the excuse that she was unfit to marry his son due to her health, the count broke the engagement. Now, she spends most of her days indoors, doing what she can to make herself better.

Estelle sighed heavily as she watched a rain drop slide down her window. She loved the rain, and if it weren't for being ill, she'd be right out there playing in the rain. 'I just wish they'd find out what was wrong so I can be myself again' she thought, tracing patterns on the fogged glass. Things had changed since the ball and not for the better. Her father was busier than ever trying to keep the home together while her mother had become overwhelmed with grief that her only child was so sick. 'Her hair even turned white over this' she thought with a frown, looking down at the book in her lap.
She smiled as she looked down at the book. It was a book of old fables that Gideon brought her when he went into town. She loved each and every story within the leather bound book, but it was the love stories that captured her the most. She longed desperately to have a sweeping romance like that was described in her books. 'But I can have that even if it's brief' she thought as she closed her eyes and concentrated. Once she opened her eyes, a handsome young man stood before her, offering his hand. She gently took it and they began to dance in her room. She would do this often, using her gift of illusion to dream up people to keep her company. As they danced, she felt tears sting her eyes, and only two words flashed in her mind, 'Oh no' as her illusion faded away.
This seemed to happen quite often and it frustrated her to no end. She'd be happy with one of her male illusions then she'd cry with a pain in her heart like they reminded her of something. 'Why does this happen? What am I missing?' she thought to herself as she curled up in a corner and let the tears fall with soft sobs.
