The sky was pitch black; there were no stars in the sky that night. The mission was set, all they had to do was sniper shoot a member of the Niendra forces for the Carthonian leaders. The job was to make it seem purely by accident, thus the Carthonian people could get off scott free, though the rivalry between the two countries was known. The job was simple. Though, Elrich didn’t know that the Niendra knew of the plan and were making one of their own as well.
The sixteen year old girl was grabbed from behind by a burly man clad in the clothing of a member of the Niendra army. He held her as the other men beat on her father before they put the rifle to his head. Aleiah closed her eyes as the monstrous clap of a .22 escaping the barrel of a rifle rang in her head. They forced the girl’s eyes open as her father was slowly surrounded by a red pool of his blood. Throwing her down beside her father they walked away, no remorse in their gait as they disappeared from sight.
There was no last breath. Nothing to remember his voice by, nothing like an ‘I love you.' Blue eyes flicked open fast enough to give someone whiplash had it been their head that flicked, sweat from the brow rolled into the eyes making them squint. Harsh breathing came from the throat as the figure struggled to sit up. Curly brunette hair fell over the blue eyes as a hand reached to flick on the lamp that sat on a side table; the only light that was to be had in this dusty room. Rising from the blanketed bed, stretching, taking slender hands through the nap of thick curly brunette hair the figure groggily walked across the grim room.
Eyes rolling as the figure leaned on a small vanity, the sleepy pale faced person looked in what could be called a mirror had it not been broken or a cheap slap hung on the dark wall. “Nightmare,” the raspy morning voice came as the figure stared at her moving lips, “Third time this week.” Running her hand through her hair again, she faked a smile before she stood and walked to her wardrobe hutch. As she stood in front of the mahogany hutch she stripped herself of the loose fitting shirt she had been lounging around in. Once it was off she threw it aside and opened the door of her hutch, crossing her arms over her medium breasts as she decided what she was going to wear. Currently she was clad in a dark lace lingerie piece, surely nothing fit for a casual day around Nagise.
Sticking with her usual tight pair of faded pants, a clean loose fitting shirt that happened to fall off one of her shoulders and show a bit of her lace undergarment, and her only pair of casual shoes in the mass of heels that she has collected over the years. After brushing her hair and her teeth Aleiah was on her way, though she had made time to put a little note on her door in case someone - Torn - were to come by and wonder where she was.
Aleiah walked down the streets of Nagise, decided whether or not she wanted to work, go dancing, or find Torn. Her mind was less than paying attention to where she was going; it was inevitable for her to bump into someone - something that always seemed to happen no matter what path she was trying to follow during the day - even if she hadn’t meant to.
“Goodness me,” she laughed, embarrassed, “I apologize.” She stood, putting her hand out to help the other person who had to deal with her disastrous navigational skills. After the person was standing she brushed herself off, trying to make amends, “I really am sorry.” Well her day of not working - she had decided to give herself a free day - wasn’t going as well as planned.

( i'm on the right track, yeah i'm on to a winner. )&& I WANT TO BE RICH AND I WANT LOTS OF MONEY, I DON'T CARE ABOUT CLEVER, I DON'T CARE ABOUT FUNNY. I WANT LOTS OF CLOTHES AND F*CKLOADS OF DIAMONDS; I HEARD PEOPLE DIE WHILE THEY ARE TRYING TO FIND THEM. I'LL TAKE MY CLOTHES OFF, AND IT'LL BE SHAMELESS BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS THAT'S HOW YOU GET FAMOUS I'LL LOOK IN THE SUN AND I'LL LOOK IN THE MIRROR... Acario had long ago coped with his living situation, or rather lack thereof. Not that he had much time to, anyways, being born into it, but there was a time where people looked out for him. When he was a child, of course, and quite the wild one at that; Though they frowned upon his stealing, his gap-toothed smile and warm heart got the best of them and he usually returned to his current location with a liberal amount of food cradled in his arm. It seems the older you get, people start caring. He became a man, not a mere child, and he was seen as a pathetic being rather than a sob story. Mere fodder at the end of a mugger's blade, with nothing to give to him. People could be so heartless, lost in their pompous little world with their noses held up high. Sickening, he thought, and nothing more.
He shook his head and dismissed the thought, refusing to dwell upon it any longer than he had to. He may not have had the best of a life, but hey, at least he tried. The same could not be said of others who simply wasted about the streets. The worst thing about not having a home was thta you couldn't really stay anywhere for too long; attachments were his worst enemy. People, things. No names really stuck in his head, no important people whatsoever. Panting was heard down below beside his feet, and he looked down to his panting wolf. Cu, his only contant companion.
A thud, and the man was sent hurling towards the ground, head bouncing against the dirt road. Nothing special; He was sad to even call it a usual occurence in which he was bumped into by a stranger, often one with little to no manners. He quickly sat up to dleiver his apology, no matter how unsincere it was, when he found she went about it first. Suprised, he smiled, still awestruck someone would waste time on a simple street urchin. "No problem at all, ma'am.", he said warmly, and if he had a hat, he'd tip it and be on his merry way. Cu seemed bent on grolwing ferociously, but he bent down in an attempt to calm the animal. TAGGED. aleiah. WORDS. not enough. NOTES. sorry for it being so short. MUSIC. "nothing" by noone. Aleiah was so prepared for this man to lash out on her due to her incapability to pay attention and her clumsiness. Knowing the people of Wyeshing, many of them lashed out on those who did not pay attention and bumped into them. They were a pompous few, but she had learned to deal with it, thus she usually blurted an apology out first thing and if she knocked them down she would give them a helping hand. Though some rarely took it because they do not want to touch "such a vile and grotesque hand of which they no clue where it had been previous." Again, very pompous few.
She was actually taken quite aback by the fact that he wasn't rude or cruel to her, which she typically expected from those of Wyeshing. "Well, that's quite refreshing," she commented on his response, though she wasn't quite clear about what she had meant. She had certainly hoped he understood that she meant his lack of slander toward her knocking him on the ground was refreshing. Of course, Aleiah wasn't the kind of person to elaborate. In fact, she found that task quite tedious, especially in her line of profession.
The wolf beside him who had taken upon himself to growl at her for the apparent situation seemed to be the reincarnation of the people of Wyeshing rolled into a dangerous creature. Of course, she didn't need her Gift of Animal Communication to help her understand that this canine didn't quite like her. She giggled profusely, "Now that is exactly what I'm talking about." Aleiah had expected that, though not particularly from a wolf.
The relationship between the man and the wolf was like no other she had ever seen before; she assumed this creature was his pet. "How does one acquire such a pet?" She was curious, not because she thought it was weird or anything, but because she had never seen quite a thing before.

I'LL TAKE MY CLOTHES OFF, AND IT'LL BE SHAMELESS BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS THAT'S HOW YOU GET FAMOUS I'LL LOOK IN THE SUN AND I'LL LOOK IN THE MIRROR... Eyes widened, he realized the the lack of rudeness, a usual in his life, was something of a mutual suprise to them both. He smiled, even as his hands stuck, and gravel duck into the skin on his plams, not to mention he could feel shards of glass sleeping just below, sitting flat as to not stab through the soft flesh of his thick hands, veins protruding as he pushed himself up. A smirk crossed his face, though it was neither devious or mischievous as they usuaqlly were, but of gratitude, though he was still certainly suprised. Acario was never one to begin with formalities; Though he likes to regard himself as polit eand kind to those who deserved it, he is sadly very forgetful, especially with his manors. As he collected himself, wiping th earth's deposits as he rubbed his hands together, he stifled a giggle, hoping the girl not to think him as mad. "That's suprising...", he said, taking a breath as to add a bit of mysteriousness to a rather mundane comment, and one he knew was apparent to them both. "No yelling?", he questioned, but it only took a few seconds of eachother to figure out neither was adept at that sort of thing.
He looked down at Cu, a large smile cracked on his face form ear to ear, white teeth shining through as his hand went down to pet the canine's head, ensuring him everything was alright. It was strange, Cu was more like a dear friend than a mere pet, and he always treated hsi wolf as if it was on the samne level of intellect as himself, and at times it even seemed like the wolf was smarter thsn him. Acario ran his hands through Cu's soft, white pelt, aand the dog stopped barking, but he still held yellow eyes that looked as if he were to leap ontop of her at any second and rip through her soft flesh, his teeth and nails digging savagely, and in his mind to Acario's joy. But the wolf wasn't so sure anymore, as his main motivation has always been to defend his master, and he seemed bizarrely content in the women's presence. The wolf sat down, his tail swaying back and forth, as he stared intently at Aleiah. Acario spoke up with a laugh, "Don't take it personally, Cu is like that to everyone I meet." The wolf looked up on him, glaring, but it did not hold any malice like it did with Aleiah.
Acario shrugged at her question, and he was genuinely unaware that people did not keep wolves as pets. He'd never really apid attention to other people's lives, and his wolf was there by his side at all times. I've had him as long as I can remember. I found him as a pup, and his mother abandoned him." He kneeled down next to him, arms wrapping around the wolf's neck. "I suppose me and him habe that in common."TAGGED.b aleiah. WORDS. dunno. NOTES. sorry for it being so short. MUSIC. Taken aback by his own comment on the situation, she regained her composure and smiled. He was generally much nicer than many of the Wyeshing community, and it was indeed refreshing. "You're not from around Wyeshing, are you?" She asked simply out of curiosity. If he had been from Wyeshing she'd be shocked simply by his calm demeanor about the situation. Her eyes shone brightly as she awaited his answer, she watched him as he pet his wolf. Aleiah would have never thought she would ever see this kind of behavior or bond in her life, but it was sweet nonetheless.
To see a man of such caliber behaving so kindly to an animal such as this Cu, as he had called him, was surprising no less. In fact, Aleiah found it quite refreshing. She had never seen a man, seeming as strong as him, be so kind to her or an animal, for that matter. It brought a smile to her face. "I am Cori Mars," she felt inclined to introduce herself to this man, extending her hand. "You can call me Cori." Normally she wouldn't introduce herself as Cori Mars unless she was doing business, and even though she was not doing business this particular day she did not feel comfortable enough to speak her true identity to him.
"It is a really neat thing that you were able to raise him from a pup," she smiled kindly as he talked about Cu and what they had in common. On that note, she didn't really know what else she could say to him.
