M A G I C ? Chord has been blessed with three types of magic, only one which is inherited from his family.

Sound Manipulation: His sound manipulation is a moderate power passed down his bloodline. His father had it, and he has it. He can hear sounds that no one else hears, he can speak sounds that no one else can speak or hear. He is able to bend and twist his voice into impossible ranges for humans- it all comes so naturally to him, that he often forgets he is weaving when he creates a symphony of sounds within a room. He enjoys writing music, and this power comes in handy.

Fortune Telling: His fortune telling is a weak power, and yet he has a very good grasp on it. Although he cannot "predict" the future just by looking at someone, he can use a variety of methods (including card readings) to give a vague, yet usually accurate outcome of a situation based on the speaker's present state and mindset. He has to be certain to alert those who ask him to read their futures that the decisions they make may influence the outcome, so it is not 100% accurate. He is not a prophet and thus cannot make prophecies.

Spirit Medium: Perhaps his most powerful power, and yet the one that is under the least amount of control. Chord has never told anyone of this power and prefers to keep it a secret. However, his weaving is known to get out of hand and lead to his seeing ghosting-images and hallucinations of the deceased for days after use. He has also known to have to fight off those who would wish to possess him. The most important thing he has to remember it to complete the weaving- no matter how hard it may be. Of course, since he has not trained in his power, he finds it unwise to use it for just anything, though he may be tempted if he is seaking an answer to a question that seems impossible to... well... answer. It should be noted that deities could possess him, and that if he could get his class up, he could summon them to him- at least the lower tier ones.

B U I L D Chord has a lean, slender build and carries himself with the utmost grace and elegance. He is tall, though not so much for a male. Still, he's not short either- and around those who are a few inches shorter than him, it gives the illusion that he's even taller- which is mainly due to his slender build.

E Y E S Such a light, vivid blue with long, thick lashes- he has eyes that some have described as haunting with the way they can seem to pierce right through you.

H A I R Chord has the wavy blonde hair that is typical of the males in his family. Instead of wearing it short, he likes to wear it long around his shoulders, another trait typical in his family for the younger, unmarried males. He likes to wear it long, and doesn't plan on changing it. Often he will wear a lace veil in his hair, particularly at parties or when he's had to dress up.

A P P E A R A N C E Chord always dresses appropriately for a young noble. He wears while, frilled shirts, usually, perhaps with a black vest that really accentuates his waist. He also has a bit of an infatuation with wearing boots with tall, slender heels (which probably isn't so wise, given the weakness in his ankles). He's always been told he looks very pretty in pastels, even if his wardrobe consists of darker tones, which just serve to make him appear paler.

S T R E N G T H S Chord is able to hold his own in arguments. He stands up for himself when he believes he's been wronged, though he has a bad habit of getting flustered when he actually likes the person he's arguing with. He can concentrate on his work, even if there are a lot of people surrounding him- he's quite adept at tuning people out. He is known as being a great music performer in Niendra, even though his talents are known mostly to the royal court.

W E A K N E S S E S When he likes someone and their company, he tends to let his guard down around them. He finds that he succumbs to pressures more easily and lets them get away with irking him more than he would a stranger. He also loves to receive fine jewels as gifts (a trait he shares with one of his cousins). He also has weak ankles, which is one of the reasons for his lack of physical ability. He tries to "stay in shape" but anything too extrenious could injure him.

P E R S O N A L I T Y To describe him in one word would be difficult. He certainly appears to embody all of the desirable traits of a Niendran of noble background. He carries himself upright, he's always polite to his superiors and elders, he knows his place, and he stays to it... mostly.

He finds it easy to talk to the others in the court, even if he doesn't make friends with all of them. He finds it impossible to become true friends with most. He usually just ends up staying on polite terms and sharing some common experiences with most of his friends.

He also will talk to those of lower class than himself, which some may find odd, but he enjoys the simplicity of it. He believes that though he may have a very difficult time living in that kind of environment, those who do are very admirable. He is grateful for the life he has, and he doesn't want to screw that up.

Chord is a people-pleaser and likes to be liked. He also does like attention and doesn't like to blend in, though he hate the idea of being infamous and doesn't want to be known for something negative. He is proud in his musical ability, which is why he can often be seen practicing it, and not only that, but he often offers fortune tellings to other members of the court for free- if they don't seek him out first. He has fun with his ability, despite its lack of consistancy.

H I S T O R Y It was a very cold day in Tresyndel when Chord d'Antoine was born to his parents: Hannamon and Aglatha. He would be the second of four children born to the family.

Already knocked out of the running for the family heir by being the second born son, that didn't mean his parents would spare an expense for his education. He would need means to support himself, afterall, and if something should happen to his older brother, he would need to be able to step up and take control.

His musical abilities were discovered when he was but four years old when a sound of a mis-matched symphony was heard coming from his room. He had tried to sing himself to sleep (a habit he had as a young child), but had ended up producing the symphony from thin air, just by manipulating it across the objects in the room.

Though it is a bloodline trait, his was one of the most powerful and well-controlled they had seen in the family in ages. His parents chose to nuture this talent through private tutors. And thus, that is how music became most of his life. He is known for singing at balls and galas, composing music to be used in theatrical performances, and writing compositions of songs he hears- though sometimes the sound may be inaudible to most human ears.

Around the age of twelve, he became best friends with a boy who lived in the city. He wasn't a noble, but he would often sneak over the large walls that protect the d'Antoine family estate to visit Chord- his excuse was that he just liked the snow sculptures. But they became friends. Chord would even sneak out to run around the city with him.

But all of that ended when the boys were about seventeen. His friend whom had been older than him got drafted into the Niendran army. They kept in contact, but Chord began to notice a change in his old friend's behavior, and eventually the two parted ways. Chord had came to the conclusion that he had had a crush on the boy- but it took him years to accept it, and only recently has he realized it was his first and perhaps last brush with real emotion.

Now that he's at the age of 21, his parents have started to become fearful of the fact he hasn't married. They wish for him to find a beautiful, young, Niendran noble girl and perhaps marry up in class. But Chord isn't so sure he likes girls... and he isn't so sure that he's going down a path that will make him happy.
