Innate Capability: like almost every member of the Cavendish family (except for his aunt Alecia), Piers has got a mental ability. With the power, it's no wonder everything Piers does seems to succeed upon first try. The power was first discovered when the small child began his education, constantly frustrating his teachers by effortlessly mastering things he was being taught. Upon seeing something being done, Piers can mimic the actions perfectly without practice and he can remember information very well. Even complex successions of difficult movements or certain behavioural patterns are easy understood and repeated by the young Count. Although he can grasp and adopt a certain logical approach or abstract idea, his ability doesn't affect his understanding of simple human emotions (since they're irrational). Also, he cannot do or know things he hasn't experienced/heard of/seen before.
Exorcism: like everything that comes from his mother's side, Piers had tried to suppress and hide it, and effort had been successful, to an extent. While the powerful and rare ability had included actually seeing otherworldly beings when the Count was a child (which resulted in the boy telling his family about “monsters under his bead”), he had tried to ignore them so long that now his power has shrunk to just sensing spirits (ghosts, deities). More importantly though, Piers' presence seems to have a naturally exorcising effect on the unwanted ones. This power is involuntary and the young man has very little knowledge of how to use it, due to his disinterest of developing it.
ADMIN CLASSIFICATION
Innate Capability: Level 2, Class A
Exorcism: Level 3, Class D
H E I G H T 6'3”
W E I G H T 163 lbs
B U I L D Piers is quite tall, and although he has a rather lean built, his body is very well trained and strong.
E Y E S His rich brown eyes are rather broad than round. The heavy lids lend the young man a relaxed and nonchalant look, though you can see the spark of passion and determination when he talks.
H A I R The male always keeps his brown hair neatly groomed and trimmed short, so the tightly coiled curls don't burst into an afro.
I D E N T I F I E R S His subtle brown skin isn't marred by any scars, tottoos or piercings. The most distinguishing feature about his looks is probably his skin tone, considering that he's a Niendran resident. Apart from that, he has a very strong, dominant jaw.
A P P E A R A N C E You can tell the man is comfortable in his own skin upon first glance. His posture is upright and confident, his movements refined and elegant, as it's only suitable for a young noble, and a subtle smirk can be seen upon his full lips almost always.
While his wardrobe consists of fine garments, his clothing style is rather uncluttered and minimalistic. Piers avoids extravagant details, dressing in a comfortable, but rather classical manner. Even when dressed in casual or sports-wear, his clothes never look “thrown together”, his appearance is always impeccable.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
As a man of noble descent, Piers was bred to enjoy only the refined things and to behave according to a strict etiquette. And he does those things with ease. His behaviour and posture meets what is expected of a young Count; he shows respect to the elderly and behaves appropriately when in the company of persons with a higher social status. He occupies himself with all the “right” things: reading literature and philosophy, hunting, fencing, appreciating art. He represents the classical values of an aristocrat and he does so honestly and with pride.
Desire to receive recognition and appreciation is what fuels his striving for excellence in everything he does. Once Piers is determined to take upon an activity, he never does it half-heartedly; behind the cool, reserved exterior of a nobleman lies a passionate young heart. He loves adrenaline and the rush of a sport or, if he'd lower himself to actually doing it, a fight; hence his passion for fencing. His interest for the physically activities is only met by his hunger for knowledge. Piers has a keen and logical mind, able to understand even very complex and abstract thoughts. As with everything he does, the Niendran is very likely to make a discussion into a competition he's going to want to win.
With that being said, his passionate and confident persona hides a softer, more sensible side, that is only allowed to surface when Piers is confronted with art. Even if his own artistic skills aren't developed beyond being able to identify great art as such and articulate it, he appreciates art in most forms profoundly.

H I S T O R Y
Piers Cavendish is the lovechild of a Niendran nobleman Kevan Cavendish and a Carthonian Ebele Farai. The second son of the Cavendish family was doing some charity work outside their reign, when he met the beautiful fledgling, instantly fell in love and decided to marry her. Needless to say, his father, Iomhar Berach, the domineering head of the dynasty, objected strongly to this union. Even if Kevan's siblings his choice, Alecia being too young and too absorbed by her own troubles to care and Fionntan supporting his brother's choice, the old patriarch's power was too overwhelming. Not only did the young couple have no place in the family's estate, but they started to get ignored or even shunned by Kevan's social circle. Secluded from the rest of the world, Ebele and the young nobleman started noticing their differences and growing apart. The thing that hurt Ebele the most was seeing her loved one suffering, and so she decided to leave him and their firstborn Piers, who was just a toddler at the time, behind, knowing the boy would be raised in a safe haven and receive an excellent education, which she couldn't provide for him.
After his wife had left, Kevan was heartbroken and his son Piers was inconsolable. Iomhar Berach, after receiving the news, welcomed his forlorn son back into the family with open arms, yet he remained disfavouring towards the child, disapproving of his mere existence and position as a possible heir (since neither of his other children had provided him with grandchildren at that time). During these difficult times, Fionntan stood by his brother, trying to help in any way he could and taking care of Piers. The small child seemed troubled, loosing sleep and complaining about monsters around him; the adults wrote it off as missing his mother at the time. The boy had to be occupied, and so his education began at a very young age. With his power of Innate Capability, he learned things quickly and received praise from his teachers and family members, as well as recognition from his peers. Yet there was still no acceptance from the head of the family, the old man growing impatient with Fionntan's resistance to taking a wife and despairing upon every girl – hence unsuitable heir – his daughter Alecia gave birth to. Much to Iomhar Berach's distaste, the way things are going, Piers, a young man with impeccably aristocratic manners and character, but of “tainted” blood, will have to be his successor.
