Lilith du Mourier was the only child born to Seraphisa and Lunetae du Mourier in the ancient Kingdom of Niendra. From a very young age, he showed great magical ability. At first, his parents were prideful and often took the boy to show him off to neighbors, friends, and eventually strangers. But what they didn't see was just how unstable their son's power was.
During his time, magic had just began to form in the lands. Those who could wield elements, read minds, even raise the dead were being discovered every day. Yet he could do none of those things- he simply wielded the element of magic itself, unwillingly and unknowingly. His emotions were deeply rooted into his magic. When he was angry or sad, specifically, his power would unleash.
When he was but seven years old, his mother had had enough. Her child had destroyed most of their home and severely injured his father when he refused to meet some of their guests- one of whom terrified him by the look in his eyes. Lilith was left in the care of monks whom guarded a well of magic in the capital of Iliendra.
There he stayed for four years, until he was nearly pushed into the well for punishment for not obeying orders. The panic and fear, sent his magic into chaos, and no one in the local area was spared. He was found later by some visitors from Niendra. They couldn't believe the boy could do such a thing, but the sphere of magic in his hands- taking no form other than the purity itself- combined with the fact the well was found empty, raised suspicion.
He was taken in by a count. The man was able to teach him how to keep his emotions in check, how to become passive and neutral to the world around him. Like his parents, he took great pride in taking the boy out and showing him off. And as Lilith grew older, he began to enjoy the attention he received.
It was at a peace conference in Wyeshing that he first met Nero. The two had an instant, powerful connection, and consummated together the first night. They met each other again two months later at another conference where a noble was assassinated and the war began.
Lilith attempted to stay by Nero's side, but in the chaos, he was swept away and found himself back home, in Iliendra where it was supposed to be safe.
What happened next, all Niendrans blame on the Carthonians, but when the reality that he may never see Nero again struck him, his magic once again unleashed, destroying the entire capital of Carthonia and all of those in it unable to escape. At the time, rumors of a blonde male roaming the icy wilderness was rampant.
When word of his possible location reached Nero, the other set out to find him. They were reunited, and Nero took him in his ship. But instead of fleeing to the war-ridden Carthonia, he took Lilith with him to the Isles that were hopefully to be spared the catastophie. Unfortunately...
As soon as they arrived, they were met by an ambush. A sharp piece of metal was telekinetically shot at him, piercing straight through his heart. He died in Nero's arms.
Nero was charged with being a traitor by his men, and after a short battle, he was subsequentl killed. Only moments later did the two awaken, separate from their bodies. The burst of the light and magic that errupted from their reawakening killed all of those in the nearby area and injured the rest. It took them awhile to come to terms with their new rules. And as they continued to cause strange occurences on the islands, they made their claim to immortality. Now everyone knows the legend of Nero and Lilith, but no one knows the absolute truth.[/blockquote]
