M A G I C ? It should be noted that it is strange that he is not aware of his unique power (no inherited from his parents.)

Healing Blood: His main power that he remains unaware of: healing blood. Akihiko's blood retains healing properties that if ingested could act as a cure for many diseases. If spread on a wound, it would speed of the healing process and cleans the wound of any infection. It serves as an immune system to his body and has prevented him from falling ill throughout his lifespan. The only drawback comes in the form of two weak points in his body: his neck and the insides of his thighs due to the arteries located in those areas. His neck, if caressed or touched causes him to lose focus- the same does apply for his thighs, tohugh they are not as readily exposed as his neck (think of these as simply more heightened erogenous zones of his body). His blood is silver and thicker than a normal person's- so it is obvious that there is something different about it.

Charm: This is an ability that more or less manifested itself only recently, but he's been able to use it to his advantage on missions. He cannot use it to get anything he wants. However, he has been able to use it to catch a person's eye and start a conversation-- not to mention get information out of them.

Agility: His agility is one thing he has perfected. This really only means he moves faster than normal. It helps that he is able to think quick on his feet and that he is naturally graceful.

Precognition: He is able to sense the direction danger is coming from. This does not always mean that it is danger related to a mission or danger that is after them- therefore, pinpointing the location of the danger is not an exact art... yet.

B U I L D Although thin, Akihiko has a sturdy build. He has been trained to keep his body in shape, so he is all lean muscle. Still, he is not completely hardened in tone, he has a certain softness to him that makes him perfect for infiltration missions, for no one really suspects him of being capable of what he, well. Is.

E Y E S Bright red eyes- a trait that is inheritent in his lack of pigmentation. While he is obviously young, his eyes have a certain wisdom to them. Not many people know that he's colorblind, though. It's something he's not even aware of.

H A I R His hair is white and long in the front. However, it is cropped short in the back. His eyes are usually hidden behind his bangs-- because he is rarely on an assassin mission as the killer, he has no need to keep it out of his eyes (he rarely fights, his work is more in infiltration).

I D E N T I F I E R S A large scar extends from his middle back down to his hip, a constant reminder of the mission gone wrong. He also has some other faint scarring on his back from burns he suffered on the same fateful mission gone wrong.

A P P E A R A N C E Akihiko has a deceivingly fragile appearance for he is stronger and quicker than he looks. That said, it's his skill of charm that more often than not gets him hired for jobs. He is what would one consider pretty for a boy with a slightly feminine air, but there is still something distinctly male about him. He carries himself lightly, and his posture is most excellent. He is able to blend in with upperclass society more often than not, even though he has been a street orphan since he was four.

In his clothes, he is never able to tell which color is which (aside from darker versus lighter colors), therefore, he's let Tsumi and at one time, Izanami pick out all of his clothing. His style reflects their tastes- although in his missions, it is usually his boss that tells him what he will be wearing and provides the clothes for nobility, often in the color of red or black to contrast and compliment his hair and eyes (though he is unaware of this).

His skin is alarmingly pale, but it does have a little pigmentation to it so he does not appear ghost-white. However, his hair can often make him look more washed out than he really is.

L I K E S Akihiko enjoys running during the early morning. He just loves the crisp morning air. He also enjoys wading into water whether it be in a lake or the ocean. However, he cannot swim, so he can't go in too deep. He's a fan of citris fruits and loves most sweet foods, his favorite having to be a type of strawberry pastry native to Niendra. He also enjoys spending downtime with Tsumi, though lately he's been increasingly worried about her...

D I S L I K E S Akihiko grows weary of always having to put up a mask. He would love to find someone he could trust enough to depend on, to lean on-- for he hates always having to be strong. That said, he doesn't like trusting other people, either, which makes his wish a bit of a contradiction. Oh, and he hates humid weather. It just makes him feel sticky and gross.

F E A R S Akihiko fears death. It's typical but true. Ever since he failed in his mission a year ago, the thought that he could die any day has haunted him. He also fears the death of Tsumi- she's really all he has tying him to this world, and he doesn't want to be alone.

S T R E N G T H S Akihiko is good at being strong and not letting his emotions get the better of him. That said, he's never been one to be good at covering up his surprise. He's also an adept fighter, even if he doesn't like to fight. However, there are many at far better skill than he. His biggest strength is his ability to get information or pass himself off as a highclass escort which is usually how he gets to the places he needs to obtain information from.

W E A K N E S S E S Caring about people. That is... people he cares about. He'd do anything for them, even if it meant sacrificing his own personal sanity. He doens't like to talk about what happened a year ago, and it's best you don't bring it up if you don't want him glaring at you. He also hates electricity and thunder storms and has nearly had panic attacks before- he is not supposed to be assigned to those with electrical powers, as it could jeopardize the mission.

Q U I R K S His panic attacks? Or the fact that he is colorblind and cannot describe people based on colors. He also sleeps curled up on his side hugging his pillow.

G O A L S He doesn't want to be an assassin... in fact, he wants to get out of it. Alive. It's a task easier said than done.

P E R S O N A L I T Y By nature, Akihiko is a very private person. It's unhealthy, but he keeps all of his emotions bottled up. He doesn't confide in anyone, even his best friend. To him, his emotions are his and his alone. He fears burdening people down, so why bother?

This said, it hard to tell what's on his mind unless you are an observant person. He doesn't wear his emotions on his sleeve, but he doesn't hide them too well that they are unnoticable- unless he is on a mission. He is very talented at appearing interested and flirty with men he has no interest in. He uses his charm only in his work, though, for he would rather not use it on someone.

Inside, he is in turmoil. He blames himself everyday for his adopted sister's death, and the scarring of the torture used to try to get them to talk has left him afraid of thunder and lightening. He really needs a good cry, for aside from the shock, he has never allowed himself to properly grieve- and he has had no support, no one to talk to.

H I S T O R Y Akihiko never had any real parent. Left at an orphanage as an infant, he never knew who his father or mother were. He was adopted at six by a man intending to sell him into Carthonia's slave market. However, Akihiko was a rambunctious child and as soon as they stepped foot out the door, he had taken off running.

Despite his unique appearance, he was near impossible to find, for he thought he had found safety in the form of a dojo. He trained there with other children and was befriended by a girl named Tsumi. Together, they befriended the local blacksmith's daughter, a girl named Izanami. She was adept at weaponry despite not training under a dojo.

As their friendship grew, Suono decided to take the children in. And thus, Akihiko and Tsumi took on the last name Souma. They lived quite a few years as normal children, having a father figure to look up to, studying their magic, learning how weapons worked-- but most importantly spending time together.

That is, until Suono's untimely death. He had been chronically ill for months, so it came to no shock to the children. However, this doesn't mean that they weren't affected. Soon after his death, the same dojo they had been studying under took them back in. But this time, now that they were older and their abilities were greater, they were being sent on missions.

Often paired up rather than sent in teams of three, this system worked well for awhile. It was discovered VERY quickly that Akihiko was not the best fighter of the three and thus was made to do most of the information gathering. With his power of charm and pretty face, it was easy for him to get information.

But something went wrong. On one of his missions, his target became overtly forceful. Izanami was supposed to let it happen, but she didn't stand by while her brother was being forced into sex with the man. She attacked and kiled him, but unfortunately it was all a decoy to lure the group out.

They were disappointed to find it was only two kids, but decided to use it as an opportunity to get them to talk. When Akihiko came to, he was chained with his arms behind his back, and Izanami was unconcious in the same position across from him. They continued to ask about who had hired him, but truth be told, Akihiko didn't know WHO had placed the order.

Neither did Izanami, but it wasn't like the men took no for an answer. The electric shocks which went up in volts each time continued to wreak havoc on his body until there was a crack of the chains. Izanami broke free, killed the man torturing Akihiko for the information, and told him to run. Because she was much more of a fighter and he was afraid of slowing her down, he did.

Unfortunately, Izanami never made it out. Likely the cause was the fire becoming combustable when one of the men tried to poison her. They successfully took out their target, but Izanami was lost.

And even a year later, it is still fresh in his mind. He and Tsumi have a silent agreement to not talk about it. To her, dead people are dead, but to him, it just makes him want to cry each time he remembers.
