Time Travel

He only has the ability to travel forward through time. He can never go back through time and use his knowledge to alter the past. Any time skips he does do he can never make up, he can never regain those moments. But even though he can only go in one direction he has control over how far into the future that he wants to go. When he does move forward in time it is like the whole world is put into fast forward and he only picks up flashes of what is going on around him during those moments in time. He retains the memories of what he has missed but the exact details of them are remembered in increments, and generally during states of self hypnosis.

Not matter how much he rests there always seem to be an air of tiredness around him. There also seems to be a hidden sadness in his eyes at all times as well. Of course neither of these subjects are ever discussed. Int fact that tiredness and underlying sadness can be found in his whole demeanor. After all he is usually at rest with his head down rather than sitting up properly. And oftentimes those rests are taken with eyes closed so he appears to be napping for the most part. Despite this ever present lack of energy he does take rather good care of himself.

While he doesn't have bulging muscles his body is toned and fit enough since he takes proper care of himself. Not only is time travel taxing on the mind but on the body as well. You had to have some physical prowess to withstand the world speeding by. So while he wasn't bulging muscles he had a sturdy enough build to withstand what his power put him through.

Even without the bulging muscles he is unmistakeably masculine. His features simply aren't soft enough to pull off drag should he ever think to try, not that he ever would. And of course there is the way that he looks young for his age. Or well, for what his age should be in this time period. Not that anyone knows about that. Simply the age that he had traveled at was given and well, he pretty much appears to be about that age.

As was said before he looks eternally tired and that is because he is. His power practically drains him. Even when he isn't skipping around in time he still has to catch up on the details. That takes self hypnosis to be able to replay events so that he could review for any important information. During that time he never actually rests since his mind is busy working and picking apart the flashes of memories. He hardly ever actually rests since there is over six hundred years of information to process as well as anything that happened recently to go through. Of course these have to be done during alone times since he has to remain alert for what is happening around him when in public.

Even when he is a social setting he doesn't say much. Actually he gets easily bored with those whom talk just to hear themselves speak. That is why it isn't rare to find him with his head down and eyes closed as if he was sleeping. In truth he is quite alert like that and is concentrating on what is being said around him to pick out important details that he needs to store away. After all he had to find that one certain person that he came to stop so he had to know where to find them at and more about them. As well as having joined up with the rebels and having to do things to keep his cover.

In truth not much is known about him because he doesn't speak about himself, if he ever chooses to speak at all. More often he won't unless it is to tell someone bothering him to shut up. Because of all this there remains an air of mystery around. Of course there are a few speculations but he doesn't respond to any of them to give them any sort of credit or discredit. If it didn't have to do with his mission then he didn't quite care about it.

H I S T O R Y

He was born in a place that no longer exists, a place that many in this time believe have never existed. This birth took place some six hundred plus years ago. While his birth wasn't foretold it was still special since it came on that extra day of the year. The day of his birth also gave way to speculations about his power since it didn't relate to what his parents were. His training was done under the tutelage of a sage, strengthening his mind to withstand it. During his training he was kept away from other children, or well other people in general, so that he wouldn't be distracted. All of his lesson were between himself and the sage alone. And when he wasn't participating in a lesson with the sage then he was kept in isolation. All of this was to strengthen his mind. To make sure that he could handle being alone as well as the ability to focus.

It was only after that he had proven that he could handle the strains on the mind, at least while alone, was he brought into public. From there his training continued. He had to learn to concentrate and ignore everything else going on around. He had to focus solely on the task at hand. The lessons included listening for how many times a certain word was used and from how many people. It was something that certainly came across as mundane but it helped strengthen his concentration and focus. These were essentials if he was going to travel in time. Without it he could easily get lost.

Proving himself over and over again the sage had a vision. A prophecy was made and that future couldn't be allowed to come about. All of his training was proven to have been crucial as he had been assigned this task. He had been entrusted with this secret and had to skip forward in time to prevent event that could have cataclysmic effects. Of course that brings him to the present era. His first week alone had been spent resting and filtering through hundreds of years of information. To this day he still hadn't got through all of the information but he continued to work on it, picking apart piece for details that could be deemed important.

Since he had gotten to this era he ended up joining up with the rebels, figuring they would be the group that would have the most information as well as the best ways to collect it. He was able to join up without too much hassle, perhaps because of the way he was able to keep the secrets with ease. Or maybe because he had no relations in this era so he had no ties with anyone. Whatever the reason he continues to use his cover as an information network.
