Shielding: this isn't a very strong power. Lyeyden can only shied himself, and for only up to 5 minutes or so. This power can have it's uses however, especially in his line of work. If he were to fall from a rope he is balancing on, a number of meters up in the air, he could let his shield take the impact of the fall (if he is in his right mind of course, alcohol or upset emotions can meddle with this power). It can also prove useful if someone tries to stab him with a knife or hit him with a fist; however he can only use it if he sees the attack coming.

H E I G H T 5'10"
W E I G H T around 122 lbs
B U I L D Lyeyden is fairly slender. The money he makes in his occupation is often not enough to buy him a room and a meal. Lyeyden prefers to sleep in a comfortable bed with a roof over his head rather than eating properly. Even when at his heaviest weight, one could easily count his ribs. Without his clothes on, Lyeyden is evidently male. His muscles are lean but toned. With his clothes on --depending on how loose or tight they may be-- Lyeyden can sometimes be confused for a woman; though his face can mostly be to blame for this.
E Y E S his eyes are a greenish hazel. Lyeyden has been trying to work on keeping them as inexpressive and cold as possible, but he has not managed to achieve this yet. His eyes are shaped elegantly, not too large and not too small, with a nice curve to them. Lyeyden does not pluck his browns, the hairs seeming to grow in a smooth arch over his eyes all on their own.
H A I R Lyeyden has only cut his hair a number of times since the tragedy that killed his family. His hair is tawny brown like his brothers, and it has a natural wave to it. Currently it reaches to the middle of his back and is usually a tangled mess. In the summer his hair lightenes to a dark gold in places, and in the winter it darkens to a light brown.
I D E N T I F I E R S His face is memorable on its own, his androgyny has gotten him attention over the years. This is good for business, however not so great for his privacy. Another thing that sets him apart, is that one would often find him in very unnatural-appearing positions.
A P P E A R A N C E Lyeyden will most often be seen wearing a pair of loose pants, and a stretchy cotton wifebeater-like shirt (in the summer) or a loose and stretchy button-up shirt (in the winter). He always dresses in something that won't obstruct his flexibility. Lyeyden is not always the cleantest person, for he puts having a bed and a roof over his head above everything else --this includes baths and food. Though he doesn't let himself become smelly --he doesn't stand smelling bad-- but he won't bother with a bath if he's covered in dust or mudd or the like. He carries himself with some confidence, though not too much confidence. His chin is held neither too high nor too low, and his shoulders neither sag or are always tense. Lyeyden has the fluid movements of a dancer, even though he's not all too talented in that field.
L I K E S a comfortable bed, sleep, red wine, having no one to answer to but himself, freedom, being able to come and go as he pleases, being independant, a long and scented bath, a good warm meal, sex, being warm and indoors when it is cold outside, listening to music, performing for a happy crowd, having someone play music while he either rope walks or does a contortion routine, romance books, melted chocolate mixed with hot milk (in the winter), having warm clothes when it's cold, and having admirers that keep their hands off him.
D I S L I K E S crying, seeing/making others cry, being nearly illiterate, falling into a bout of depression (usually when he misses his blood family), being asked to play instruments or sing (he's not talented in either), being confused for a girl, being offered money for sex, paying money for sex, drunks who can't keep their hands to themselves (most of them anyway), being cold, sleeping in the street, resorting to eating others' leftovers, staying confined in a room for too long, cold meals, and when people or animals are too obedient.
F E A R S never falling in love, injuring himself to the point where he can't perform anymore, never being able to read or write, losing someone dear to him again
S T R E N G T H S his independance, his flexibility. Lyeyden is fairly open minded and usually willing to listen to all sides of a story before passing judgment.
W E A K N E S S E S being nearly illiterate. When it comes to others' feelings or intentions toward himself, Lyeyden will sometimes assume the worst. Sometimes he believes himself to be worthless and will allow others to abuse him.
Q U I R K S when Lyeyden is relaxing or comfortable around friends, he will sometimes unconsciously fold into a strange position. Usually he will have his upper body pressed to the floor/bed/whatever and his lower body foled over until his knees thouch the flood/bed/whatever by his head. Many people find this strange however, so he will only do this in front of people who accept him...or those he wants to upset or disgust on purpose.
G O A L S he doesn't have any for the time being. Lyeyden believes himself to be a lost soul without a purpose.
P E R S O N A L I T Y First of all, Lyeyden is a guarded person. Being an entertainer who travels on his own, he has to be suspicious of people in order to survive --or so he sees it. However once someone has gained his trust, Lyeydon opens up and becomes very loyal. When he cares for someone, he will do almost anything to make them happy. Lyeyden is generally very open minded and a very good listener. He is not the best at giving advice though, and therefore refrains from doing so unless he's been specifically asked to give advice. With lovers, he is fairly intimate. Lyeydon is very sensual, and in the bedroom he lets this show the most. He usually does not sleep with people who would be ashamed for sleeping with him...or who would pay him for sex.

H I S T O R Y
Since their birth, Lyeyden and his twin Felicite were very close. They very rarely left each other's side, and they learned and grew quite happily with their parents. The d'Amorele family lived on the Carthonia-Niendra border, between the cities of Maesser and Kerhrnst. The twins' parents were involved in some matters concerning peace between the two large kingdoms, and when a group of Niendran rebels heard of this, an assassin was sent to the d'Amorele mansion.
To this day, Lyeyden regrets having gone out to play without his precious twin, for he would never see him again after that tragic day. Lyeyden saw a glow and dark smoke come from where he knew the mansion stood, so he ran toward his home, only to find it in flames. In a panic, he ran for the village that the d'Amorele family was responsible for, knowing that he needed to find help. In the village, he was recognized, but due to his age he was not believed. Not in time to save his parents or his twin --or this is what Lyeyden believes.
A merchant took pity upon him, and thinking him to be an orphan --which he in fact was by that point-- took him in for the night. The merchant had to sedate the poor boy in order to help him sleep. The next day the merchant and Lyeyden went up to the mansion, only to find a pile of ash and rubble. The merchant then decided to take Lyeyden in a little more permanently; he needed a hand with his merchandise as it was, and Lyeyden was more educated than a boy the merchant could pick up off the street.
Lyeyden, believing himself to be without family or home, went with the merchant. They traveled through Carthonia, Niendra, and Wyeshing for a little over a year before the merchant decided that Lyeyden was more trouble than he was worth. The boy had become withdrawn, quiet, and at times quite irritable.
They ended their travels together in Nagise, where Lyeyden was sold as a servant to a mediocre inn in the city. There he was taught how to clean floors, and wash dishes, and look after some of the customers. While he wasn't treated the very best --getting kicked or punched more often than not-- Lyeyden is still grateful that he ended up working for an inn.
While the Prancing Goat was not the most popular of places, it still had its share of traffic. Lyeyden encountered people from all over the world, as well as entertainers of almost every kind. The performances he liked the most were those of the contortionists, fire-eaters, and rope walkers. While he would never attempt to eat fire, he would practice the other two whenever he snatched himself a chunk of free time. His balance was considerably good, however, he was having no luck with contortionism.
One night he was walked in upon by one of the visiting contortionists, a woman in her thirties with an open smile. She saw what he was trying to do, and explained to him that in order for one to become as flexible as herself and the other professionals he would have had to start practicing when he was younger (by this point he was about ten years of age). Upon seeing the disappointed look on his face, she offered to use her ability to help him. The contortionist had the unique ability to alter the flexibility of the muscles, and with the use of this, she altered Lyeyden's muscles over the week that she stayed at the Prancing Goat.
She then said her farewells, and everything else was up to Lyeyden. He took notes form her and practiced bending as well as balancing daily. Soon enough he realized that he had to get away from the inn in order to find enough time for training, so he could become the successful performer that he wanted to be. Lyeyden --with a great amount of guilt weighing down his heart-- stole money, food, and a blanket, wore his one set of clothes and packed up the second. He then easily snuck out of the inn in the dead of night, no one having ever suspected that he would think to leave. Even though Lyeyden had been purchased, he was treated like an employee --minus the pay-- and he'd never done anything within the year that he was there that would arouse suspicion.
From then on, the boy was truly on his own. He traveled out of Nagise and into the town of Gehyeng. There he spent a number of months, training daily and stealing in order to keep himself alive. The money and food he'd taken from the Prancing Goat had been mostly gone by the time he'd reached Gehyeng.
Years passed, and Lyeyden became better and better at what he did. Soon he no longer had to steal daily, the performance he would put on getting him enough coin sometimes for either a meal or a bed. He'd left Gehyeng after half a year, and had since traveled through Wyeshing and into Niendra. From there he traveled through Carthonia and did the round all over again.
In the present, Lyeyden is nearly a full fledged traveling performer. Having been completely on his own since he was nearly eleven, Lyeyden is considerably independent for his age, and very self reliant. He received some help here and there with his Shielding ability, and this along with what he's taught himself, has given him a little sense of security. Lyeyden has lived his life believing himself to be alone in the world, relying on no one but himself. He is suspicious of everyone in the beginning, and he makes this quite obvious. Lyeyden does not like being touched unless he welcomes it, and he has had to land a number of punches and kicks in his days. He is not the greatest fighter, and has often times earned a bruise or two. Lyeyden knows that his life isn't the greatest, but he's learned to make the best of his nearly-insignificant existence.
