He loosely crossed his one leg over the other as he sat on the arm of the chair, those dark burgundy eyes watching the wine swirl in the glass. Torn watched the wine move, the legs of it sliding slowly down the sides of the glass. It was quality wine, well he couldn't serve a queen cheep stuff he did have at least a bit of manners in some ways.
"But thats the only way to keep it interesting, I think," he said smiling an eye looking over at her before taking a sip of the wine. She was interesting to say the least, he would have never thought he would have met a queen like this. Many of them much to in there own worlds to know he even existed. That and the other thing was how trusting she was, drinking the wine before he had. Though that may his own paranoid self, but poisoning drink was the easiest way to get rid of annoying customers, lucky for her she was not.
"What I know of him?" Torn asked looking up at the ceiling, "Well who's to say I know anything about that little king?" He stopped looking at her as if that had slipped out giving a giggle, "Oops, you never said he was a king, did you? Well never mind that was the most common thing known about him though he wouldn't ever let me see his wife, such a shame." Torn looked disappointed but he wasn't concerned considering that the wife he never got to met was now sitting next to him.

Her head moved so subtly, just a small tilt so as to better see the young man, take in his form, his expression. Dark hair tumbled with her movement, the weather was not unkind to her on her ride here, but it had tried many times to tear her from her horse and the protection of her cloak away, a few loose curls were nothing. She took another long sip of wine. Part of her had been cautious, but she'd hope that as clever the other was he wouldn't kill the messenger when there was a prize for him involved. It was a very good wine, the drink impressive...oh it would be a shame to poison this if it had been.
"As far as interesting go you've accomplished that all on your own, I'm simply waiting for you to realized that you could be given quite a--"
"Well who's to say I know anything about that little king?"
Ceried'a stopped for a moment, mouth just a little agape from what just spilled from the other's mouth. Oh this had become interesting, but in a way that did not please the Queen one bit. So the fool she had been married too was obviously more of a fool than she'd imagined as he probably let it be known he was the King. "So I see that you know...well this both makes this easier and more complicated." Part of her felt exposed now, disliking the fact that her husband seemed so careless in his little adventures...that he seemed to want to insult her and their marriage after his death.
"It is probably his idea not to let you see his wife...seeing as he was taking other lovers. What use do you have of a Queen anyways?" She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, downing another good part of her glass of wine.

Torn took another sip of his wine, his thoughts already on where he would go with this. Well, of course that depended on how she responded to what he had just let 'slip'. He wasn't that much of an idiot and besides to be any good at gossip, he should at least know the name's of higher royalty of the places in Cerdonia. Sure, he couldn't remember the name of the woman he had kept company with earlier that week but she was so simple little girl and a king was a completely different subject.
He put the glass to his lips once more as to not smirk at the face she gave him, stopping in the middle of her sentence. It would not do to give himself away now, oh no not at all. He looked over at her when she began to speak again, now how to continue? "It does, hmm?" Torn set the wine glass down on the table next to his side. "Mmmn, probably," he spoke again, "I guess it was just curiosity, maybe?" Torn came up with a reason of the top of his head though technically it was a curiosity, though he never would have thought he would meet the queen as she was acting now.

It was now that Ceried'a found herself contemplating the situation she found herself in. Could he already know who she was? She'd made sure to keep herself fairly well guarded in her travels here, news of a Queen going alone into a city like this never fared well. Still she drank her wine and tried to focus on the matter at hand. He knew who the king was and that he was here....that would have to be handled now.
She'd hoped that perhaps her husband had been smarter, but now his mistakes were hers to deal with.
"What use would you have? It is not like he was a giving man and would let you play with her like some toy. I knew him fairly well. Rather selfish man." Then again this was her husband...and in the years they'd been together he'd done many things that had gone against her ideals of a king and husband. Still he was gone and this was all of hers now.
"So were there any favorites of his? Anyone that I may have to talk to make sure they understand what my mistress wants?" With the evening like it was she doubted she'd get to meet some if there was more than one, no doubt customers were here already to pay and play.

Putting down his wine glass, well now he had nothing to distract himself with as this little conversation of a game continued. It had been a small mistake o his own part against himself, but it was something he could live with even if he didn't like it. Instead he watched the queen or whatever she believed she was pretending as right now.
He gave a smile as he slowly shook his head, leaning back on the arm of the chair using the back of it and the wall to support him. "I do other things besides my little profession, surely you know that?" he asked his arm going across the top of the back of the chair, "I never said a thing about toys, it takes much to long to train one anyways." Torn spoke of this with as straight a face as someone would speak of the weather looking up at the ceiling not want to have to look at this little 'servant'.
"Favorites?" he asked looking back down at her again, "I'm supposed to give you names just like that? Now why would I ever do that?"

"For all I know you lay on your back all day giving pleasures to the men and women coming through here, or you feed the homeless. Really you succeed in not putting forth any effort into your answers that I could figure out that little puzzle even if I wanted to."
This man before her...this brothel boy...
He had to either be the cleverest little deviant or just painfully unaware of just how frustrated he was making his vagueness. Ceried'a began to wonder if it was really worth trying to bribe the boy when he'd probably give anyone questioning him like this the same run around. In fact she began to think that the young man might be better suited in the courts. A few more frills and no doubt this one could paint the court red in frustration and humiliation of the nobles out done in their games. Then again she looked down at her glass of wine and wondered if it would faze him at all if she threw it in his face and demanding to know what she wanted.
"Tell me, because I'm growing tired and I'm not sure if the effort I put into this is worth this...but do you know who I am?" She let her head fall to the side as she sipped her wine setting it off to the side before she rose to her feet and moved to lean in close, "I'm sure you're enjoying yourself, but you seem of a man of other tastes. Do you really have the time to spare with me, or would it be better spent counting gold and enjoying a promised wealth simply for doing what I ask? Or are you a man who desires things other than gold?"

Well, this was all fun and games and all for him but in all honesty the woman was getting on his nerves. As if he was to flip right over like a good little boy and tell her all she wanted, like hell he would. Those black boots sounded against the wooden floor boards again as he stood up not caring if such an act was, proper or not. Since when did he care about such useless things?
He looked down at her, both of them now on their feet, "Maybe I do have better things to do." Torn spoke as he picked up his own glass and moving away from the woman. He picked up the bottle of wine again, "Or maybe I don't. Who's to say?" Sure he knew he was avoiding many of her questions, but it was something common he would do wither he knew the answer or not. It wasn't his way to keep others guessing if he were aware or not.
Pouring himself another glass wine, he looked back at the older woman. "So you want me to be quiet about the old man. Is that all?"

Ceried'a moved back as the other rose to his feet, giving him room. Did she sense a little bit of annoyance? Maybe she'd finally dug in just the right spot? She could only hope, but as soon as she'd heard him speak she realized that once more she'd just come back into the circle of the game. Really, she figured that there were probably a good number of nobles that would come to this place simply to be at the whim of this sort of man. She's heard enough rumors about certain people's tastes, really if she wasn't set on her own goals she was curious just what it was about this brothel boy that had brought the men of her court here.
"Yes, quiet is what I'm hoping for just for starters." Moving towards the curtains she peeked outside of them just for a moment before returning to her seat, picking up her wine she didn't drink it but simply looked down at the rich burgundy color of it, "I'm worried some poor creature is going to think that they were loved by the man, come seeking him out for help or a new life...I can't have them popping up at random."
Giving a small sigh she lifted the glass to her lips with a soft tsk, "I don't wish to see people getting hurt or rifts to get created because people can't learn the difference between love and lust. I'm not trying to be cruel...but rather I'm concerned for them."
